Create and reuse skills

Use a skill when you repeat the same process and want Ventos to follow it consistently. Describe the procedure once, then ask for it by name the next time.

Create your first skill

Ask Ventos to create a skill and describe the repeatable process, inputs, and result you need. For example: “Create a personal skill for weekly client updates using these sections and tone.” Review the draft before using it.

Choose who can use it

Ventos ships with built-in skills for the work it does most often — CRM lookups and updates, company analysis, document creation, running templates, web research. These are always available.

On top of those, you can add your own:

• Personal skills are yours. Only your conversations use them.
• Organization skills are shared with your whole organization. Anyone in the organization can invoke them, so a process one person works out becomes everyone’s.

Use and improve a skill

You work with skills by asking Ventos:

• Create one — describe the procedure (“here’s how we prepare a client brief…”) and Ventos writes the skill.
• Use one — refer to it by name, or just describe the task; Ventos picks the matching skill.
• List and edit — ask what skills exist, or ask Ventos to refine one that isn’t quite right.

Skills follow the open agentskills.io format, so they’re plain text you can read and move elsewhere.

Important boundaries

• A built-in skill can’t be overridden. If you create a personal or organization skill with the same name as a built-in one, the built-in still wins.
• Between your own skills, a personal skill takes precedence over an organization skill of the same name.
• A skill can be kept as a draft while you’re still working on it — drafts aren’t loaded until you mark them ready.
• Organization skills are organization-wide. Editing one changes it for everyone.
• Skills are instructions, not code — they can’t run arbitrary scripts.
