Introduction
Start using Ventos
Use this guide to start working with Ventos as a team member. You do not need to configure your organization’s integrations before asking your first question.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need a Ventos account and access to the web app. If you are setting up Ventos for the whole organization, use Set up Ventos for your organization instead.
Ask your first question
Section titled “Ask your first question”- Open the Ventos web app.
- Start a new chat.
- Ask a specific question in plain language, such as “What do we know about Acme?” or “Prepare a brief for our next meeting with this client.”
Ventos replies in the conversation. When an answer uses your organization’s indexed data, open its citations to verify the source.
Get better answers from the start
Section titled “Get better answers from the start”A few things worth knowing from the start:
- Each conversation starts fresh. Ventos doesn’t carry context between chats. If you need earlier context, paste or summarize it at the top of the new chat.
- Keep a chat to one topic. Focused conversations get better answers. When the subject changes, start a new chat.
- Citations link to sources. When an answer draws on your knowledge base, the bracketed links point back to the original document so you can verify it.
Choose where to work
Section titled “Choose where to work”You don’t have to work in the web app. Ventos is also available:
- By email — send a request to
agent@app.ventos.vcand get a reply in your inbox. - In Slack — DM the Ventos app or mention it in a channel.
- On WhatsApp — message the agent from your phone once your number is set in Settings › Profile.
- On ZenZap — reply in the 1:1 topic the agent creates for you.
Every channel talks to the same agent and shares the same conversation history in the web app. See Channels for what each one is best at.
