Connect Microsoft 365 to Ventos

Connect Microsoft 365 so team members can search their Outlook email, calendar, and contacts from Ventos. An administrator enables the integration; each person connects their account before Ventos accesses their private data or makes calendar changes as them.

An administrator connects the Microsoft tenant and decides whether Ventos may write to calendars. This integration covers Outlook email, calendar, and contacts; for file storage, use OneDrive & SharePoint separately.

For organization setup, you need an Admin role in Ventos, your organization’s Tenant ID, and permission to authorize the Microsoft connection. Team members need a work Microsoft account in the same tenant.

Admin: connect Microsoft 365 for your organization

Section titled “Admin: connect Microsoft 365 for your organization”

A one-time setup, done by an admin.

  1. Open Settings › Integrations and click Connect on the Microsoft 365 card.
  2. Enter your organization’s Tenant ID (find it in the Azure Portal), then complete the Microsoft OAuth flow to authorize access.
  3. To let Ventos write to calendars, enable Calendar writing on the card.

Your mailbox and calendar are private. Connect your own Microsoft account to let Ventos access the data you authorize and make enabled calendar changes as you. This step is available only after an administrator has completed the organization connection.

  1. Open Settings › Personal Integrations and click Connect on the Microsoft 365 card.
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant access.

If your organization turns on calendar writing after you’ve already connected, reconnect here to pick up the new permission.

The Microsoft 365 card shows as connected for the organization. After a team member connects their account, Ventos can access the data they approved and can make enabled calendar changes as that user.
