Connect Affinity to Ventos
Use this administrator guide to connect Affinity for your organization. Once it is connected, Ventos can work with the CRM records available to your team; no separate team-member connection is required.
Organization connection
Section titled “Organization connection”Connecting Affinity for your organization indexes its records, notes, and files into the knowledge base.
How Ventos makes changes
Section titled “How Ventos makes changes”Affinity does not have a personal connection. Ventos uses the organization API key to create or update records. When it creates a note, Affinity attributes the note to the Affinity user whose email matches the person signed in to Ventos; if there is no match, it attributes the note to the API key owner.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need an Admin role in Ventos, access to Affinity’s Settings › API Keys, and a way to store the generated key securely. Do not share the key in a chat or send it to people who do not administer the integration.
Connect Affinity for your organization
Section titled “Connect Affinity for your organization”Affinity needs only an organization-level connection — there’s no separate personal step. Do this once, as an admin.
- In Affinity, open Settings › API Keys and generate a new API key.
- In Ventos, open Settings › Integrations and click Connect on the Affinity card.
- Paste the API key and click Save. A green check mark confirms the connection.
To update the key or disconnect later, click Manage on the Affinity card.
What success looks like
Section titled “What success looks like”The Affinity card shows as connected. Your team can then ask Ventos to work with the records and lists available through the configured workspace.
