Set up Ventos for your organization
Use this guide if you administer Ventos for your organization. You will connect the tools Ventos can search or act in, make any team channels available, and then direct teammates to their own first steps.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need an Admin role in Ventos and administrator access to any tool you plan to connect. Decide which data sources your team wants Ventos to search and which channels they will use.
Connect the tools your team needs
Section titled “Connect the tools your team needs”- Open Settings › Integrations in the Ventos web app.
- Choose the tool your team uses, such as a CRM, file storage, email, or calendar.
- Follow its organization setup guide and choose the data Ventos may index.
Start with Connect your team’s tools to choose an integration. For file storage, the folders or libraries you select determine what Ventos can search in the knowledge base.
Make channels available
Section titled “Make channels available”Set up any channel your team needs beyond the web app:
- Use Ventos in Slack — install the app in the workspace and add it to the relevant channels.
- Set up the ZenZap integration — connect ZenZap for the organization.
- Use Ventos on WhatsApp and ask Ventos by email — individual users can begin once they have accounts.
Help teammates connect their own accounts
Section titled “Help teammates connect their own accounts”Some integrations need each user to connect their own account before Ventos can act as them. Send teammates the integration’s Team member section after you have completed the organization setup. Do not ask them to connect an account before the organization connection is active.
What success looks like
Section titled “What success looks like”Your selected sources begin appearing in Ventos’s knowledge base after indexing. Team members can start conversations immediately and can complete any required personal connections for actions that need their identity.
